Kokas Dora’s Surfing Accident

“The much anticipated first subscription concert in the 2014 Sydney season for Musica Viva turned out to be rather different from the plan” – appeared, citing Zoltan Szabo report on Norman Lebrecht’s website. Before their concert in Sydney on Friday the ensemble went to Manly Beach, where the cellist Dora Kokas had a surf accident. By Saturday morning, her condition worsened and an X-ray established the wrist was fractured. Barnabas Kelemen and Katalin Kokas changed the program, they played duos by Bela Bartok, Leclair, Wienawski and Mozart. I wish Dora Kokas a speedy recovery.
